Head of State held a meeting with Vietnamese Vice President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân

On the sidelines of the Sixth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Astana, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Vice President of Vietnam Võ Thị Ánh Xuân.
During the meeting, the Kazakh President thanked the Vietnamese side for its active participation in the CICA and noted the high level of fruitful cooperation between the countries.
The two sides emphasized the successful development of trade and economic cooperation, strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties, and the launch of flights between Kazakhstan and Vietnam. They also noted the potential for increasing contacts in trade, tourism, agriculture, transport and logistics, and financial sectors.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent his greetings to Vietnamese President Nguyễn Xuân Phúc.
In turn, Võ Thị Ánh Xuân, on behalf of her leadership, extended an invitation to the President of Kazakhstan to visit Vietnam.
